Who am I?

I’m Roey, a product and UX designer with extensive experience in crafting intuitive and impactful digital experiences.

My portfolio includes diverse projects such as the OTT Giloo documentary streaming platform, cross-border e-commerce platforms, esports games, community platforms with mapping integration, and AI-driven emotional tools. This breadth of experience spans both website and app design.

I am deeply involved in every stage of the design process, from conducting competitive research, defining product positioning, and strategic planning, to user testing and post-launch product optimization. My focus is on ensuring products deliver exceptional user experiences while maximizing commercial value.

Product design spans multiple industries: Industries range from the 0 to 1 stage and into optimization, including the definition of product functionality and system planning, covering esports games, chat tools, social media, news platforms, financial statement back-end, and psychological counseling tools.

Competitive Analysis and User Research

Giloo's challenge, which sets it apart from other streaming platforms, is: "How can viewers quickly engage with the topic?" The temporal nature and traceability of documentaries, which differ from genre films, pose significant design challenges for this product.

Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on viewers' watching behaviour in different contexts on film festival websites and current streaming platforms, and incorporate the findings into product design.

Product Design and Scope

Reorganise the product's minimum units to meet the basic functionalities required for documentary streaming.

The purpose of these minimum units is to modularise the functions, allowing features such as timelines, follow-up tracking, and glossary explanations to be flexibly applied to different scenarios and various types of documentaries.

Conduct prototype design and testing to verify feasibility, and deliver the results to the engineering team.

Vertical: Primarily communicate with the Director and CEO to establish the purpose of features, requiring optimisation adjustments based on data analysis.
Horizontal: Communicate with the engineering and marketing teams about the prioritisation and definition of features, as well as test plans. Discuss and establish the purpose of product features, along with wireframes and mockups.
